Questions
Is Marknote free?
Yes. Marknote on Windows is free, with every editing feature, theme and plugin. You only need a plan to sync notes between devices with Marknote Sync.
What does end-to-end encrypted mean here?
Your notes are encrypted on your device with a key made from a passphrase only you know, before anything is sent. We store the encrypted copy and cannot read it, on any plan.
Can I buy a plan today?
Not yet. Marknote Sync is in beta and free while it is. These are the plans for when it ends, and you'll hear well before anything changes.
Who can have the Student plan?
Anyone in full-time education. How to show you're a student will be explained when paid plans open.
What happens if I go over my plan?
Nothing is deleted. Your notes stay readable and exportable on every device; new changes stop syncing until you're back within the limits or move to a bigger plan.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, up or down. Moving to a smaller plan never deletes a note: anything over the new limits stays readable and exportable.
